When I'm home and getting enough sleep on a good bed and not stressed, I sometimes forget I have fibromyalgia or even think it's gone away. Today, however, I feel as bad as I ever did while I was still working. All of my joints ache, and everything in between the joints aches, and I have a headache. I'm dreadfully afraid that I'll drop my laptop (just not enough to give it up). The only solution is a couple of weeks at home, unfortunately, and I've got two more days to get through here.

Scott apparently had a really and truly miserable time at Cedar Point yesterday. Nobody wanted to go on the rides that interested him. He was watching the almost four year old while everybody else did rides she couldn't, and she doesn't like/trust him. Everybody in the group gave him their stuff to watch which further limited what he could do. What with one thing and another, he didn't get to start searching for food to buy for dinner for himself until 9:30 (the park closed at 10:00), and finding something that wasn't beef was nearly impossible. He also got sunburned right around his collar line where his shirt shifted around.

The almost four year old really doesn't trust me or Scott, but she absolutely adores Cordelia. Scott says things got better toward the end of the day yesterday when Cordelia started hanging out with the two of them (Cordelia does not do roller coasters that go upside down. No way, no how). Unfortunately, Cordelia couldn't take the little one on a lot of rides without Scott because they wanted someone sixteen or older.

I discovered yesterday that I can't play stuff on YouTube and do anything active on Google docs. Basically, every time Gdocs locked up on me (which was often), YouTube stopped dead and wouldn't play anything further until I reloaded the page. It had played just fine before I started fiddling with Gdocs. I don't know if it's the age of my laptop, the (lack of) quality of the internet connection here, or some weird interaction between the two sites. I really, really needed to do link finding, however, so I gave up on YouTube.

Scott's parents and our sister-in-law went to a national park yesterday that is about two hours away from our rental. They apparently did some fairly leisurely walking around. They got back here about 6:30, and the four of us went out to dinner at a quite expensive restaurant. I think the cheapest non-salad entree was $17.00. I wouldn't generally go to a place like that because I don't think the food is worth price. Scott's father and i both had liver and onions. I hesitated because it was veal liver, and I'm really not comfortable with veal, but it was the cheapest thing on the menu, and I hadn't had liver in a few years because none of the restaurants we usually go to serve it.

The Cedar Point contingent got back about midnight. I had stayed up while everyone else had gone to bed. It's a good thing I did stay up because the kids swarmed the door and started ringing the doorbell repeatedly. I'm not sure why they didn't wait for their uncle who had the key, but they were very impatient.

Scott didn't end up turning out the light in our bedroom until some time after 2:00. I had had a pillow over my head and been trying to sleep for quite a while, but it's hard to sleep in there even when the lights are off.

Right now, people are debating whether to go to the water park today or tomorrow. Logistically, today is much better because, tomorrow, we need to start packing, but it's only supposed to get up to 71F today, and tomorrow is expected to top out around 88F, just with thunderstorms in the morning. So weather-wise, tomorrow would make infinitely more sense for a trip to a water park, assuming the storms pass and the afternoon's clear.

I'll be staying here, either way. Scott's parents also aren't going to the water park, but everyone else is. I'm not sure what Scott's parents plan to do. They might go out somewhere else. I should be fine whether they hang around or go out (as long as they don't expect me to go with them).

Well, the Marco's Pizza in Port Clinton, OH can't get an order right. This means that, while everybody else ate pizza tonight, I had a turkey sandwich. I was actually quite looking forward to pizza, but they put sauce on the stupid thing, so I couldn't eat it. Scott's mother placed the order, and I was standing next to her. She was very, very specific about no sauce on that pizza.

When we called to complain, they said that, if we brought the entire pizza back, they'd start making a new one as soon as they had the old one in hand or give us a credit toward a new pizza. Well, I had half an hour left to eat before my drop dead no more food time, and Cordelia and Scott had taken some of the pizza (it was intended for the three of us, and they can eat pizza sauce. Cordelia prefers not to, but she can), and we're leaving the day after tomorrow, so neither option was actually even remotely helpful.

So I'm cranky about that, and I'm still in pain. I have to get through two more nights and then the rapid clean everything and clear everything out of the house stuff we'll have to do Saturday morning. We have to be out of here by 10 a.m., and Scott's parents are talking about waiting to get breakfast until after we leave. I think that's so as not to dirty any dishes and so that we can have a leisurely family meal. I will have to eat sooner, of course, but hopefully that won't be a problem. A banana is pretty easy to deal with.

And, naturally, I topped this off by getting hiccups that lasted for over an hour. I think I should just go to bed. Except that Scott needs the light on in order to get his bi-PAP ready when he goes to bed.

But I could shower and retreat to the bedroom with a book. Maybe I'll do that.
