I forgot to mention— I woke up after the procedure yesterday with a blood pressure cuff around my lower leg and ankle. They’re not supposed to put such things on my left arm because of the lymph node removal and not supposed to put in IVs or give me shots on that side either (plus, they had me lying on my left side for the colonoscopy). Putting the cuff on the right arm would have interfered with the flow from the IV. I know they weren’t sure what to do before they put me under.

I woke again with a migraine. I took Amerge as soon as I got up. About an hour later, the headache was gone.

I saw my psychiatrist this morning. We’re still in a holding pattern, waiting for all of the life crap that’s been hitting me to settle before we try to mess with my meds again. She did say that, if I think that there’s any chance that I’m having physical symptoms caused by anxiety, taking an Ativan is very unlikely to hurt anything. Well, as long as I don’t do anything stupid like taking it with sedatives and/or alcohol.

I got downtown about half an hour before my appointment, so I walked up and down one block of Main Street, doing in Ingress stuff. Now that I’m level six, I can actually sometimes capture portals on my own. Admittedly, nobody puts a lot of effort into fortifying stuff downtown because it’s pretty unlikely that anyone will hold a portal for very long (I think everything I captured has been recaptured already, but for about an hour, I was the proud owner of thirty five portals).

I walked to Totoro, a Japanese restaurant I like, after my appointment. I took about half an hour to go five blocks because I was doing Ingress stuff the whole way, mostly attacking portals. I think that going slowly helped me a lot. I wasn’t tired or overheated when I got to the restaurant, and they’d been open for fifteen minutes when I got there. I had a teriyaki salmon bento and a Sierra Mist.

I considered taking the bus home, but it was raining, and I’d have had to walk almost all the way back to Main St in order to catch my preferred bus. I could have caught a different bus nearer to Totoro, but that would require walking several blocks after I got off, including a hill that tends to exhaust me under better circumstances than this.

Tomorrow, I’m supposed to drink a lot of water between 8:45 and 9:00 and then hold things for over an hour. I’m thinking that I don’t want to drink my normal coffee before doing that, and they suggest not eating for a couple of hours before the appointment, so I’m considering waiting until after the appointment to eat because it might let me sleep later. Then again, if I get up with Cordelia at 6:30, that’s plenty of time to eat and digest. I’m not sure if I’ll come straight home after the appointment or not. Buying lunch out two days in a row seems excessive, especially given that we bought sandwiches from Subway last night, but maybe walking a couple of blocks to buy coffee would be okay. Who knows? I might be energetic enough to walk downtown to catch the bus. It could happen if the weather’s good.
