Feb. 2nd, 2018 10:09 amMy best guess about yesterday is that I forgot to take my omeprozale yesterday morning. I was very sick by 2:00 p.m. and spent the next twelve hours feeling miserable. I took the omeprozale about 7:00 p.m. because I couldn't think what else would make me feel that way.
I still had to sleep on the loveseat recliner in order not to start coughing and having trouble breathing. Even leaning back a bit wasn't a great thing. I did actually manage to sleep, though, and I'm pretty sure neither Scott nor I would have slept at all if I'd tried lying down.
I ate plain rice cakes for dinner because I hoped that they would absorb some of the acid in my stomach. Eating other things had given me very brief relief, so the idea seemed somewhat logical. Also, I was afraid to eat anything more challenging.
This evening is going to be busy. Cordelia has an appointment downtown at 4:15 and another at 5:00 (both in the same building). That pretty much means that she gets home, puts down her back pack, and then she and I head for the bus. Scott might be home by 4:00, but it's at best going to be 50-50. By the time he'll know either way, Cordelia and I would already need to be on a bus if we need to take one downtown.
I suggested that Cordelia take the city bus downtown after school and meet me there, but she says that it's like trying to get on a bus with a large herd of elephants-- no space whatsoever-- and isn't something she's willing to do ever again.
I have no idea what time the cleaning lady will come today. She didn't say when she called Wednesday evening, and I didn't think to ask. I wish that I knew because it would make planning easier.
I'm also trying to figure out the best plan for dinner for myself. I usually eat between 5:00 and 6:00 really shouldn't eat after 6:00, so I'll need food during Cordelia's second appointment. Packing a sandwich ought not be hard, but it feels like just one more damned thing to try to do.
( To-do list )
