Aug. 13th, 2018 01:07 pmMy younger sister (she's 49) has osteoporosis and osteopenia. I've sent a message to my doctor to ask if this means I need anything checked. I had a bone density scan in 2015 after I broke my foot stepping off a curb, and that was well within healthy range.
My sister had to argue with her doctor in order to get the scan, and it took almost 18 months (even though she's had a full hysterectomy and ought to have had one, for a baseline, immediately after). The doctor kept telling her that she looked fine and didn't have any functional impairment and therefore must be 100% healthy.
( PT and OT stuff )
I have three forms to fill out and mail today and two phone calls to make. There are some household chores I'd like to take care of, too, but they're less urgent. Also, they're things I can ask Cordelia to help with.
