I'm worried about Scott. He's almost certain to be pulling carts today. That means going outside regularly without a coat. Basically, the cart puller takes the bottles from where they've been made and bagged to the loading dock where there are trucks waiting to transport them. Inside the plant, it's usually at least 90 F. Outside, today, it's -40 F. Most of Scott's time will be spent inside, so wearing a coat doesn't make sense. Putting a coat on takes time, and the cart puller is perpetually behind the bottle production and in trouble over it (the cart puller also doesn't tend to get lunch or breaks. Scott says the supervisors clock the cart puller out for those things even though the cart puller doesn't get breaks).
When I went to shower today, there was ice on the inside of the glass block window in the shower enclosure. (We have no idea who thought it was a good idea to put a window in the tub enclosure. For several years, it was just a normal window that had to have a curtain. We got it replaced with glass block about eleven years ago. It's nice to have something opaque and difficult to break there.) I wiped down the window after I showered in an effort to minimize the ice. I have no idea if it worked. We don't seem to have ice on other windows, fortunately.
