Jan. 8th, 2014 05:38 pmI've let the girls go sledding. Earlier this afternoon, I let them go out in the backyard a couple of times because it's relatively sheltered from the wind and because they really wanted to go out. There's not a lot of daylight left, so I don't think the girls will stay out long. Cordelia's friend is with us for another couple of hours while her mother goes to visit her sister and see her newborn niece.
Scott's parents have had their consult with the local surgeon. They tell us that he places the risk at 25%. They didn't specify risk of what. I suspect they're afraid to put it into words. They're still planning to talk to the Cleveland Clinic and see what people there have to say.
Scott had to take the car in today. He was smelling gasoline all the time, and that's not a good sign. Fortunately, they were able to fix the problem in about half an hour. Scott had expected to have to leave the car there over night. He asked them about the other problem we've got-- The light on the dashboard clock has burned out. Unfortunately, fixing it would be too expensive because it would require replacing the entire clock. We're going to look into finding a small light that we can put there so that Scott can track the time when he's on his way to work.
