the_rckIncluding Cordelia's, I have cookie forms from four Girl Scouts. The daughter of one of the leaders probably sold some cookies, and the other leader says she has two forms. That means seven girls out of thirteen sold something. I think that's pretty good given that the girls weren't prepared for the sale in any way. They had no idea what they were supposed to be doing or why. The leaders are hoping to raise enough money for a camping trip and some sort of community project. I don't know if that will happen.
The troop leaders are planning to do a cookie booth at some point. I'm not sure where or when. Cordelia and I will almost certainly end up helping with that. We'll have to work around Cordelia's indoor soccer schedule, and we'll need help with transportation, but I'm sure we can make that work.
Scott's off this weekend. This is good because his cold has come back. He's got a sore throat again. Cordelia doesn't have a game this weekend, either. Scott and I thought about trying to go to Confusion, but Cordelia didn't like the idea. Dragging her around would be fairly miserable, and we don't want to spread Scott's germs. Maybe we can go next year. Cordelia likely won't have a Rec & Ed sport at this time of year because indoor soccer stops at fifth grade and she doesn't want to play basketball.
Cordelia and I are both wanting to read the same copy of Ella Enchanted. I'm willing to share it with her, but she's not willing to share it with me. I'll probably let her take it. She needs it for a school assignment. I'm just reading along with Mark Reads. I can catch up later. Maybe I can find a copy at the library when we go this weekend.
