Asking for Help

I'm having trouble getting into writing the next chapter of Rheotaxis. I've written three or four sentences this week, and it's been like pulling teeth. I think I need to discuss the chapter with someone who knows the story and characters. This one is a hard one because everything in it except the point of view character is completely new. I can't lean on canon in any way, and none of the other characters can carry any part of what's going on.

Anybody familiar with Rheotaxis and willing to talk to me about it? I'm on AIM, and I do Google's chat. I have a little familiarity with IRC (very limited familiarity. I can get to the Yuletide chat room). I'm mostly available between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. EST, but I can manage something as early as 7:15 on weekdays and something between 3:00 and 10:30 if you don't mind me being occasionally distracted by Scott and Cordelia. I can do something by PM or e-mail if it comes to that, but I prefer the immediacy of chatting.

It's really tempting to handwave everything in this chapter and not write it at all. I think that would be a mistake and would weaken the story (and lose me an opportunity for Nagi to have some important character growth), but it's really tempting. I suspect that I'd have a much easier time if I went back to Ran and Ouka or to Yohji. It's just that that would be a cheat.

I really want someone already familiar with the story. It's over 190,000 words long and sexually explicit and deals with difficult topics, including rape and Stockholm syndrome.

I would have to download the chat program and get it set up, but I would be glad to discuss it with you. I'll need to skim the story real quick (mainly the last couple chapters, I've re read it often enough I've got the first parts of it pretty well in my head) Since I'm going to be snowed in again (meh) Give me a couple days and maybe Monday or Tuesday early afternoon (I don't even know what time zone I'm in right now, Indiana was the last state to switch to daylight savings and they did is asinine, it's by county and it flip flops back and forth, I THINK I'm on EST) so maybe tuesday afternoon around noon?
