the_rckCordelia and I have both caught Scott's cold just as he's getting over it. Cordelia's been coughing a lot, and I have a sore throat. Last night, for the first time since Christmas, Scott slept without Nyquil. I'm hoping that it doesn't take Cordelia and me nearly so long to recover from this.
Judging by the weather forecast, there will likely be more days off this week. It's supposed to be really cold tomorrow. I don't know about Thursday. I'm thinking to arrange for the A-Ride to pick me and Cordelia up from our house instead of from the school. If there's school Thursday, Cordelia and I can walk home from the school fairly easily. If there isn't school and the cab was coming to the school, we'd have to stand outside in the wind for as long as the cab took to arrive which could mean as long as forty-five minutes. I think risking that is a bad idea.
My sister-in-law and I are trying to figure out a good date for us to try another sleepover at her place. She says it would have to be this month because March and April are crazy busy. She gave me a list of dates, and I told her which ones would work for us. She also had the idea of doing some sort of girls only get away with me and Cordelia and her and her daughter getting a hotel room somewhere, maybe a water park, maybe somewhere for some sort of craft project, maybe something else. I like the idea. The timing may not work however. The best dates for that are days when Scott will be on vacation. I don't want to take off when he's on vacation.
After all that fuss about wanting the dress from Kohl's and how none of the dresses from JC Penney's would do, Cordelia now says she can't wear the dress for the talent show because it 'doesn't fit the song.' My SIL says we can return it without any problems because she's still got the receipt. I'm just cranky with Cordelia over it and not inclined to go shopping for a replacement. I really don't enjoy shopping.
I've got three kids here today, as expected. They've mostly been playing Wii games. I need to figure out how to make the phone calls I need to make given the noise level.
