Right now, I'm enjoying pretty much my only break all day. I've done my time in the school library, and all went well. In not quite two hours, I'll pick Cordelia up for her appointment with the social worker. We'll have to walk back here because, not knowing if there'd be school, I told the A-Ride to pick us up at home. After we get back from that, I will have to get dinner for me and Cordelia (Scott may not get dinner, depending on when he gets home and how long his shower takes). At six, we take Cordelia over to a neighbor's house and carpool to a meeting at the middle school Cordelia is to attend. That meeting last two hours. I'm not looking forward to it. Maybe it will include a tour of the building or something. Two hours of being talked at is deadly, and it would be nice to know things like where the office is and which door is unlocked during the school day (there will only be one, most likely).
Scott used some compressed air to try to solve my problem with my laptop. His theory that something's stuck under the button seems to be borne out. I had a day and a half when I could have the battery in. I was still clicking on things I didn't intend to, but it wasn't nearly so bad. Today, it got bad again, and I had to pull the battery out. I couldn't do anything at all with the battery in. All of the other potential fixes are considerably more troublesome (and expensive).
