I know that, if one finds a lump in one's breast, one's supposed to call a doctor pretty much immediately. What if one finds a lump elsewhere on the body? I've got a definite but not very large one on my mons pubis, and I'm wondering if I should be making an appointment tomorrow. It's in the wrong place to simply be a blocked pore. I do get those, but I can tell the difference.

Yes. Make an appointment. It's most likely a cyst or swollen lymph node? But as with all lumps, it might be a Problem.

Yeah, in general if you find a lump where there wasn't a lump yesterday, you should call a doctor.

That sounds to me like it's in the normal range of "weird-but-harmless things that bodies do." I vote for either waiting to see if it goes away on its own, or phoning the doctor's office during their regular office hours to ask the nurse if she or he thinks it needs to be seen.

I concur, if that matters. Palpate it once in a while to see if it changes, but don't obsess over it. I've found that random fatty lumps and such don't like to be poked or squeezed too much. I've learned to just wait patiently and they just sort of melt away again. That, or they don't change at all, or may get somewhat smaller.
