There will most likely be no bubble tea for us this weekend. Yesterday, a water main burst along the block of South University where both Bubble Island and Momo Tea are located. The street was closed the last I heard, and it seems unlikely that businesses along there will be permitted to open until the situation is resolved. They have to stabilize the street and the sidewalk on at least one side of the street.

There have been a lot of water mains breaking this winter. It seems like every week there's another one. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll escape being directly affected. A week ago, there was one not far from here, along Pontiac Trail. It didn't affect us, but it shows that this side of town is not immune. I don't recall this happening in years past, but it might be that I'm more aware of it this year.

we had a massive water main break they like to never got stopped in town last week. Took them two days and digging up the entire street to finally get it blocked off, and of course at 0 and below wind temps they were chopping through ice as much as the road trying to get to the problem. I have ever tap in the house trickling constantly to keep my pipes from freezing.
