Feb. 16th, 2014 04:19 pmAlas, this is another weekend without bubble tea. The street where both Bubble Island and Momo Tea are located has been dug up to deal with a broken water main. Momo Tea might still be open since the water flow went toward the other side of the street, but we can't easily get near to find out (I'm not even sure the sidewalks are open). I just hope that the water main situation doesn't mean a longer wait for Bubble Island to reopen. I know that some of the businesses along there will be closed for a while while supporting walls are rebuilt. I just don't know if the structural damage from the water main goes as far as Bubble Island.
Scott didn't end up staying at the Girl Scout cookout. There were other parents staying, so he didn't have to. He says he thinks it's just as well, that the girls ought to do things without men or boys around because it proves to the girls that they don't need men or boys, that they can accomplish all sorts of things on their own.
