Mar. 4th, 2014 04:31 pmCordelia has friends over, her best friend and her best friend's younger brother. They're expecting another girl, also a fifth grader, so that the three fifth graders can work on a science fair project. I'm not entirely clear on what the project is except that it involves bouncing a lot of balls. I've told Cordelia that they'll have to go into the laundry room. That's got some open space and very little that can be broken.
The three kids here now are playing Mario Kart and bickering. Cordelia's friend just forced the other two to do what she wanted by continually pushing the button to close the game until they agreed to do what she said. These two kids will be here every morning before school for the rest of the week and all day on Monday (there's no school so the teachers can write report cards). I hope they can somehow get along.
We're planning to buy pizza tonight. I'm not sure if we'll have three or four kids for dinner. Cordelia said that the third girl needed to go to dinner with her family because it's her grandfather's birthday, so I think she won't be staying as late as Cordelia originally planned. I hope the girls have time for their project.
