Mar. 13th, 2014 11:53 amWe had three of the five other players for Scott's Babylon 5 game last night. We chose to play Sentinels of the Multiverse rather than trying anything else with people missing. We played against some sort of mystic necromancer. I forget the name. He had zombies and cultists and nasty, nasty relics. We played in the Block, I think it was. That's a prison setting, so we had to deal with rioting inmates and guards who would attack us if there weren't inmates around.
I discovered that half an hour is not long enough for the electric blanket to warm my bed thoroughly. The heat has to penetrate through the other blankets, and that didn't happen last night when I was late starting up the blanket.
Scott's a little frustrated. Cordelia now wants to watch both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report with us. She gets upset if we watch either without her. She also wants to see our current Netflx DVD (the latest Thor movie). That meant that, last night, we had nothing to watch during the half hour between when our guests left and when we headed for bed. It's going to be problematic tonight-- Scott's set the recording for The Daily Show and The Colbert Report to keep only the most recent two episodes. He's been reluctant to change that programming even though there are weeks when (as this week) we need to save three days worth of shows.
We have a pair of mystery socks. They're obviously too big for me or Cordelia, but Scott can't get them over his feet. They look long enough for him, but they're narrow at the top, too narrow. They're a nice looking pair of socks, but I guess they have to go to the rag bag.
I hope that the changes in Cordelia's school for next year include a change in at least some of the office staff. We have a new school secretary this year, and she's not doing all of the things the old secretary used to do. It's most noticeable to me in the fact that we don't have a school directory this year, but I suspect there are other things she's not doing. I miss the directory. It's late enough in the year, that I'm pretty certain we're not getting one this year.
