Looking at the predicted weather for the rest of the week, the best day to go downtown would be Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the one day I have other commitments and can't go. Friday will be equally warm, but they're predicting rain. 48 F may be warm compared to what we've had, but with rain, 48 F is cold. I suppose I could just deal with the cold and wind and go tomorrow or Wednesday. Both days are supposed to be in the high twenties, and my coat is adequate to that. If I go at the right time, I could get lunch and bubble tea at TK Wu's. I have no idea what the food there is like, but it can't hurt to try it.
I'm dreading the first soccer game of the season which is supposed to be April 12th (practices start on the 2nd, but I don't have to go to those). Judging by how it's been, it will not be warm by the 12th. After a cold game or practice, Cordelia always swears that she won't play soccer again, but by the time registration time comes around, she always wants to.
Cordelia has decided that she wants to play softball this summer. I have to remember to register her for that. Unfortunately, the coach she's had the last two years probably won't be back. He wanted to move his daughters up to a travel team. In a way, this is good because he wasn't a great coach. In a way, this is bad because he was at least moderately local-- Last year, practices were at the field by Cordelia's school. Whoever coaches this time will likely want us to cross town for practice. It should also be interesting-- I believe fifth grade is when the games change from coach pitched to girl pitched. I hope they start the girls off easy that way. None of them will have any experience pitching.
