the_rckScott ran his Science Olympiad practice at the downtown library today. On the way there, he dropped me and Cordelia off at TK Wu's so that we could get bubble tea. We hoped to be able to sit there and drink it, but they were packed, so we had to leave. Cordelia had apple milk green tea and decided midway through that she didn't like it. I had lychee green tea and enjoyed it.
I hadn't finished my tea by the time we got to the library, so I stood outside with it. I don't like rushing like that, but I didn't see an alternative. I couldn't take it inside. The temperature outside wasn't quite 50 F, but at least it wasn't colder.
Cordelia and I went to the Friends of the Library book sale. Cordelia didn't find anything she wanted. I got five CDs. I have no idea yet if they're any good, but they were only two dollars each, so why not?
After that, we had to go straight to the Traverwood library where Cordelia's Disease Detectives practice was. We got her there just on time. Cordelia has complained that she can't study for Disease Detectives this year because the coach hasn't given any handouts. One hour a week is not enough time to prepare, so I really wish he'd give the girls something to study.
Right now, Cordelia's got friends over. The intention was to work on their science fair poster, but one of the people who's needed for that didn't show up, so Cordelia, her friend and her friend's brother are playing Mario Kart. Cordelia's having a lot of fun, but this means that we can't have dinner until late. I also want Scott to help me change the sheets, and I don't think we can do that while we have guests.
