Apr. 11th, 2014 01:01 pmWe had breakfast at Bob Evans today. It was pretty late when we got there, a little after ten. Cordelia let us sleep in until about nine which was unexpected. Scott, given the option, wakes up slowly, so it took him an hour to get ready to go. I wasn't expecting Cordelia to put up with that, but she did even though she'd been up since seven and was starving.
I had cinnamon pancakes. Cordelia had chocolate chip pancakes (she was seriously tempted by a hamburger, and we encouraged that since she almost never gets one of those). Scott had French toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon.
Traffic was awful around the restaurant. They're resurfacing Carpenter Road this spring/summer, and they had two of the five lanes blocked off. We had to rely on the kindness of other drivers getting into and out of the parking lot. I think we're going to have to avoid Carpenter as much as we can until the work is done.
I'm trying to make an appointment with the massage place near Kroger. Scott gave me a gift card for Christmas, and I haven't made it out there yet. It's been a combination of miserable weather and having other things going on. I can manage going out twice in a week if I absolutely have to, but that's about it. Cordelia seeing the social worker meant I was always out at least once a week. (I don't count going to the school library. That's routine enough and nearby enough that I'm fine with it.) At any rate, the massage place has a web form for requesting an appointment, and I used that to try to set up an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. They're supposed to call me to confirm or to try to schedule for a different time.
In cleaning the study, we found a bracelet that belonged to Cordelia when she was a toddler. It's tiny. We're trying to think who we can give it to. Her youngest cousin might already be too big. There's one other couple we know who have a baby girl, but she's only a few months old, so it wouldn't be for her yet. I suppose we could ask them. It wouldn't be expensive to mail it to them if they want it.
