Apr. 17th, 2014 12:34 pmOur internet is going in and out. It doesn't stay out for long, not more than ten minutes usually, but it keeps happening. The phone line seems to be good which means it's not that damaged cable that Scott tucked away where it wouldn't get jostled rather than replacing. Our internal network is staying up, too, so it's not a problem with that. It could be that Earthlink is having problems, or it could be some sort of static on the phone line.
Generally, the first indication I have that something's wrong is a webpage not loading. For some reason, iChat doesn't realize it's been cut off for five to ten minutes, so that's not a reliable indicator.
Anyway, if I suddenly stop posting or if I'm talking to you and suddenly disappear, it's probably internet issues. This is a bad time for them-- I'll be stuck at home all day tomorrow, and the library's closed on Sunday.
