I have voted. Turn out is very thin. Going in at 10:30, I was the 65th voter of the day. I hope this millage (the only thing on the ballot) passes. We need more buses, longer service hours and more routes. I'm hopeful that, if this passes, the AAATA will start service out to East Ann Arbor and Domino Farms. Currently, the only way for me to get there is a full price cab, and that's pretty expensive. I'd hate to see what it would cost if we didn't live relatively close.

For some reason, one of the candidates for the mayoral primary has put signs outside the polling places (both Cordelia's school and the place where I voted). That primary isn't until August. I'm not sure what the point of the signs is. Of course, I wasn't planning to vote for her anyway. Her resume is fairly thin.

I had planned to use the transit millage to help me narrow down who to vote for in the mayoral primary (whoever wins the Democratic nomination will win the November election, pretty much guaranteed), but all four candidates are in favor of the millage. I'll have to see what else I can learn about them.

Depends on the precinct. Mine had 20.9% in-person turnout, with 542 total ballots cast in the precinct (plus all the absentee ballots counted elsewhere).

Name recognition, as far as we can tell: Get her name in front of the voters now to increase her likelihood of getting votes in the primary. We had a lot of voters confused as to why there wasn't a mayoral candidate to choose on today's ballot though. <Roll eyes>.
