May. 7th, 2014 06:53 pmI'm cranky. I just got a phone call from the school food service saying that Cordelia has a negative balance on her lunch account. I just last Friday took in a $40 check. That's good for sixteen lunches. I personally handed it to the school secretary, so if it went astray, it was after that. I'm going to have to go in to the school tomorrow morning and raise hell.
I'm trying to be understanding. I know they have a new cafeteria worker because the usual one broke her leg (or something like that), but seriously? Losing a $40 check is not on. It makes me wonder if my PTO plant sale money got to where it was supposed to go. I turned that in at the same time. I will be beyond cranky if that got 'lost' too.

Of course, I paid a second time because Cordelia wouldn't get a lunch today if the money wasn't delivered. This means we should be paid up past the end of the year. I don't know if the money carries over until next year, is given back to us, or simply disappears.
