May. 9th, 2014 09:24 pmScott has a sleep study tonight. He's had a C-PAP for about two decades, but it turns out that there's no formal diagnosis in his file. In order for his insurance to keep paying for the C-PAP, he needs a diagnosis. As I recall, the first time he did a sleep study, they told him he had 'sleep disordered breathing.' How that differs from sleep apnea was never particularly clear to us.
The C-PAP definitely improved the quality of his sleep. He stopped falling asleep every time he stopped moving.
Scott should be back in plenty of time to get us to the soccer game tomorrow, but he may not get a shower in. I'm hoping he has time to shower because it's going to be a long day, but he may not have time for it, especially since he has to stop for bagels on the way home.
I'm going to be working for four hours at the Science Olympiad tomorrow. Our school's head coach put out an SOS for just one more volunteer, and I will be there anyway. According to what the Science Olympiad people have told me, I will be outside the whole time. I hope it's at the warmer end of what's predicted for tomorrow and that it doesn't rain. I'm a little concerned about just what I'm going to do with my purse. I can't leave it home (I need to carry medications with me), but it's likely to be in the way. I can't ask Scott to tote it around for four hours, either.
I am relieved about one thing-- I no longer need to consult my doctor. My period finally arrived. I'm putting down the missed periods to perimenopause.
