the_rckMy sunburn is worse than I thought, particularly around my neck. I was wearing a red dress yesterday, and the contrast of the burned skin wasn't so obvious. I've put aloe vera on all the burned skin twice.
It's Mother's Day. We never got around to making cards this year, and we probably won't. I feel bad about that because usually we're good about doing it. Time just got away from us this year.
Scott is at work. Working today was the only way he could be sure of getting yesterday off, so he signed up for it. We're hoping that it will mean that he gets next weekend off. Next weekend, we have a family gathering on Saturday (Cordelia's birthday) and Cordelia's birthday party on Sunday.
Cordelia has been alternating between watching Teen Titans and watching Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Both of those shows are so good that they still keep my attention even though I've seen them a few times before. I wish there was a good version of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes on DVD. The version that Amazon has must be purchased as a series of stand alone DVDs and has the episodes out of order. That's not a good thing for a series with lots of story arcs.
Time to get the laundry going. It may be Mother's Day, but those chores aren't going to do themselves.
