Well, the upload of the old Yuletide archive to AO3 has at least begun. I told the AO3 folks a few weeks ago that I wanted to keep the versions of the stories that I had already uploaded, and that's what's happened. The old comments from the archive are now attached to the copies of the stories that I uploaded. I'm assuming that that's where the links from the old archive point, too. I have no idea if they've uploaded the whole archive yet or not. They might have done. I haven't seen an announcement about it yet. All I have to go on is the e-mail they sent me, saying that my stories are now in AO3 and the fact that the comments are now there.

It didn't work for me. They said that if we'd used the import function, and if we checked to see that the redirects were already in place, then there was no need to send them an email, it would all just smoothly add the old comments to the copies uploaded.

Apparently, they wanted you to email them ANYWAY, despite saying otherwise, because I got hit with duplicated stories today rather than the comment-upload promised. *sigh*

That sucks. They did say that people who did that wouldn't have duplicates. I remember that.

I hope you can resolve the problem without too much trouble. You shouldn't have to, I agree, but I hope it resolves easily.
