May. 22nd, 2014 08:17 amCordelia's best friend and her family do a lot of bowling. Cordelia's friend and her younger brother actually own bowling shoes, and her mother has suggested that I buy shoes for Cordelia. My impression is that they do a lot of bowling over the summer and plan to invite Cordelia along fairly frequently. The bowling alley is on the other side of town, but they have a summer program that lets kids who're members play two free games a day all summer long. I've signed Cordelia up.
They have a related program-- Adults who've signed a child up can pay $25 and get two games a day all summer long. I think the fee covers multiple adults, but I'm not sure. I do know that one can sign up up to four adults. I didn't sign us up. Scott may not ever have time to go bowling this summer, and I can't bowl because it does bad things to my elbows. My elbows are hyperflexible, and the weight of a bowling ball hurts.

If Scott does get time to bowl and the family has used the option and not used all their slots, they might be able to add him in - otherwise, it's probably easier to pay for the rare occasion where he might bowl than sign up for it separately.
The bowling alley here is at the end of our street where it meets the main road, so it's a really easy one for us when summer rolls around. :)
