Today is my birthday. That means, to some extent, that I get to set the family agenda for the day. There are still some chores to be done-- putting away laundry, baking a pie, and helping Cordelia pack for camp, most notably.

Cordelia woke us twice this morning when she was having trouble shutting a door. She shut it hard, repeatedly. We have no idea what was going on with that. Both her bedroom door and the bathroom door close easily, and there aren't any other doors nearby.

Scott got up about ten and started wrapping my presents in the dining room. He was a bit annoyed when I came into the kitchen to take my morning meds. He managed though, and I still got my coffee.

We discovered that the USB to outlet adapter that doesn't work with my e-reader works with Scott's iPhone. The adapter he'd been using for his iPhone seems to work with my e-reader. I am greatly relieved. There was some confusion because he thought, when I said 'adapter,' that I was talking about something else. I've downloaded a bunch of fics that I plan to put on the e-reader. I won't get to all of them, but this way I have options if the first or second thing I try doesn't work for me. I also plan to take a notebook and print outs of the fics I'm working on. I don't know how much writing I'll do, but I want the option.

I'm making slow but steady progress on my Not Prime Time story. It's requiring some research that's challenging, however, for minor details. I'm tempted to handwave and avoid those details. The other things I'm working on are all Weiss Kreuz stories. I want to make progress on Rheotaxis, and

weissvsaiyuki is having another challenge. I have two WIP that fit one of the challenge themes. I may try to get one of them into posting shape. This challenge is for stories or chapters longer than 2000 words. One of the stories I've got is already well over that. The other is a fragment of maybe five hundred words.
