the_rckWe went to Palm Palace (Middle Eastern food) for dinner. Cordelia objected, but she found something to eat. She had chicken shwarma. Scott and I had two different chicken dishes. We finished up with a baklava sampler that had four pieces for each of us. Scott and I each ate two. Cordelia finished all four. So far, none of us have had room for rhubarb pie which is a pity because it's better fresh (and because Cordelia and I are leaving for camp on Wednesday. We need to eat pie tonight and tomorrow night. It won't keep until we come back).
We stopped for bubble tea on the way home. There was even a parking spot right near Bubble Island.
My father, my brother and the older of my two sisters have called, so have Scott's parents. I don't expect to hear from my mother. She never calls for anything.
Scott and Cordelia gave me two books (Portal by Eric Flint and Ryk E. Spoor, and Eight Million Gods by Wen Spencer), a CD (Joan Baez's How Sweet the Sound) and a DVD (Brave). Scott says he still has more he wants to give me but that he hasn't had a chance to get to the store to get it. There's something I thought he bought me because it disappeared from my Amazon wishlist, but I don't think he did buy it. I have no idea why it's gone from my wishlist.
