Scott's alarm didn't go off last night. He woke up just as he was supposed to leave for work. Hopefully he got there on time. He's working 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. I don't know when the grocery shopping will get done or what we'll have for dinner tonight. I think we've got some turkey burgers, but I don't know that Scott will be up to grilling them.

Cordelia has been watching Adventure Time streaming from Netflix. I don't hate it, but I'm also not loving it. I think I might like it better in smaller doses. Cordelia's on season two. I think that's all Netflix has. Anybody know how many seasons have aired?

I think a big part of my ambivalence about Adventure Time is that we were in the middle of watching Ultimate Spider-man which I really enjoy. Cordelia has abandoned that but will flip out if I go on without her.

Cordelia's team lost their soccer game this morning. The other team was really good, and Cordelia's team was missing its best player. The sun was bright and shining directly into my eyes, so looking out across the field was difficult. I'm actually glad the game was early. I think it would have been really hot later in the day (I'm a little worried about how the school gathering will be in that respect. There's not a lot of shade around the school). Cordelia got knocked down once during the game, and her team got a penalty kick.

There are four seasons of AT, and I think we've just started five on CN. I urge you to stick with it; the early episodes are sometimes a little too goofy/chaotic for my tastes, but the meta plot of the show starts to pick up soon in Season 3 and it is good and interesting.

Argh on the Spider-Man stop, though.

Hopefully, Netflix will get seasons 3 and 4 soon. It takes a while with some of these shows. Cordelia was disappointed to finish everything Netflix has. She wants more.

How easy is it to jump in with what's airing now? Cordelia's thinking to do that.

I think she could jump in, although there might be a few "huh?" moments. However, each episode is so reasonably stand-alone that I don't think it would gravely detract from the show as a whole. There's a 50/50 chance the episode is thoroughly stand-alone anyway.

If you get a chance to see them, the genderswapped episodes (Fionna and Cake) are HILARIOUS and WONDERFUL and GRAND. The thought of them cheers me up on bad days.

I understand Cordelia's disappointment with Netflix, although I don't think it's an evil conspiracy on their part; I think the contract negotiations for these things take forever. I just wish it were faster, too! :p
