the_rckI finished the first draft of my Not Prime Time story. It's not as long as I expected it to be, but it is over the minimum length. I have lined up one beta reader and queried two others. It feels a little weird not to be rushing. Hopefully my recipient will like it. They gave me very limited information to work from, so I don't know what their tastes are. Tomorrow, while I'm busy doing other things, I'll think about a title. That always comes last.
Friday morning, I'll start in on one of my Weiss Kreuz projects. I'm not sure which one. I promised myself that I'd make progress on Rheotaxis this year, but I also want to write something for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
weissvsaiyuki, and I can't stretch any of the themes to fit the current chapter of Rheotaxis, not even vaguely.
Of the two projects that do fit the themes, one is at a point where I have to write an action sequence involving several people and monsters. I'm bad at action sequences under the best of circumstances. It is, however, a long story fragment, possibly even a stand alone chapter already. It might even be as much as half of the finished story if I'm lucky. (I laugh. The odds of my writing short are miniscule.)
The other project has less written, but the bit coming up plays to my strengths. Unfortunately, it's the start of something that will likely be epically long, maybe not as long as Rheotaxis but definitely not short. It will also require rewatching canon so that I can figure out how my AU elements fit with canon events. I expect most of what happens in canon to occur, just with a different (very different!) perspective on events.
If anybody knows Weiss Kreuz and wants to talk about my projects, I'd welcome that.
