Cordelia is a bit upset with me over planning to leave her with the neighbors while I go to the doctor. She likes to play with their kids but prefers to do it over here because they have a dog that she's afraid of (as she is of almost all dogs. I don't know why she wants one). I just hope the weather's nice and the kids can play in the front yard as that will get around the problem of the dog.

Last night, Scott and Cordelia went for a bike ride and brought me back baklava. That was very nice of them, I thought. Usually, when they go up that way, they buy frosties and can't bring one back for me because it would completely melt on the way and because they don't have a way to carry it upright.

I've gotten very little accomplished so far today. I've showered and posted two stories to fanfiction.net (I think I am now allowed to post more than two a day, but I think I'll stick with two a day because each story requires at least half an hour of work with formatting and all that). I should do dishes and put away laundry (which i washed on Sunday) and maybe try to do some writing.

Instead, I'm mostly dreading the travel to and from the doctor's appointment. I'm not worried so much about the appointment itself (though I'm very much hoping the stupid things are sebaceous cysts and not lipid filled cysts). It's the back and forth that's stressing me out. The appointment is late enough in the day that I'll be lucky to get a seat on the bus home. Packed buses freak me out. That's the big reason I don't want to take Cordelia with me. I can't deal with a packed bus and with her.

We have to establish a new routine for Cordelia in the evenings. She needs to be out of the bathroom by ten, and Scott and I want the TV starting at nine. We have things to watch that aren't Cordelia appropriate. She's eleven, but her tolerance for violence and scary stuff is very, very low. We don't want to scare her. I'm thinking to tell her that she can stay up as late as she wants as long as she does it in her room. That won't be what she wants, but she has plenty of books, and she can watch Netflix streaming on her iPad.

Scott and I watched the first episode of Teen Wolf last night. Scott said that all the show has going for it is the main character's name. I'm withholding judgment until I've seen a few more episodes. I may even go so far as to watch all of season one as I understand it's only thirteen episodes. Right now, I'm running into the problem that I have very limited patience for fictional teenagers (my tolerance for fictional teenagers decreases steadily as Cordelia gets closer to being a teenager). Teen Wolf is very definitely something we can't watch with Cordelia around.
