the_rckMy beta readers got back to me. I've made some of the corrections they suggested and have decided that some of the others are stylistic choices I stand by. I also chose to continue using a double hyphen in place of a dash because I've had trouble in the past with characters like that getting mangled in the process of uploading (ellipses are problematic, too).
At any rate the story is now on AO3, awaiting the archive opening. I look forward to being able to claim it publicly after the author reveal.
I am looking forward to the story I'll receive, too. I picked fandoms and characters that I quite like, and unlike last year, my requests didn't go to the pinch hitters (I suppose I should knock wood. There's still time for that to happen). I suspect that I know what fandom I'll get because some of the fandoms, when last I checked, didn't have offers from anyone who wasn't me. Still, I have no way of knowing for sure.
