Jun. 30th, 2014 07:59 amSunday around 12:30, we went to the library. Cordelia had been reluctant to go because she wanted to get together with her friends, but we dragged her along. After, we went for bubble tea. I was still droopy, so I got a tiki tea which is half coffee and half milk tea. All I could taste with it was the coffee, not a trace of the taro flavor I asked them to add. Cordelia got a honeydew green tea, but there was some confusion over the order, and they tried to give her milk tea.
That caffeine got me through the Girl Scout meeting at 4:00. I really lack the patience to be dealing with the girls. I start grinding my teeth when they go off topic over and over again. There are things to be done for the trip that will require logging in to Google docs, so I hope we have internet again soon.
Before the meeting, our internet went out. It took us five hours and two calls to Earthlink to fix it. Earthlink gave us the wrong password, however, or we'd have gotten internet back a lot sooner. The whole thing started when the server we use as our central hub failed. Scott transferred the hub function to another server, but he got the password wrong. Eventually, Scott remembered the right password. (The one Earthlink gave us wasn't our internet password; it was the password for my secondary e-mail address and thus not useful at all (and now I have to change my password)).
I lay down for a while while Scott and Cordelia were at softball practice. I originally planned to watch some Teen Wolf, but Scott's gotten interested in it, and I was having trouble keeping my eyes open. Unfortunately, I couldn't relax, so lying down wasn't restful at all. I ended up going to bed early, pretty much as soon as Cordelia was done in the bathroom.
Scott tells me that Cordelia had some trouble at practice-- They left early because Cordelia was complaining of blurred vision and a headache. Scott thinks she got dehydrated. We're going to make sure she drinks plenty of water today and that she has two water bottles for the game tonight. (Always assuming there is a game. It's supposed to rain today).
