Cordelia has science center camp Monday through Thursday of this week. They'll be studying raptors. The science center does raptor rescue and has several birds that can't, for various reasons, be released plus whatever birds they're currently rehabilitating. Cordelia says it sounds boring (I disagree, but I'm not the one going) and only decided to go because [livejournal.com profile] cherydactyl's younger daughter will be there.

Cordelia's group is out in a tent, so I hope it doesn't rain this week. The tent has mesh sides that won't keep out rain if there's wind. Judging by the sign in sheet, there aren't many kids in this particular group, so at least they won't be crowded.

Most of the science center camps at Cordelia's age level include an overnight (generally Thursday night). Cordelia completely vetoed the idea of going to any of those camps. I hope we can get her to do something of the sort eventually.

Tomorrow evening, Cordelia and I will do most of our packing for the Girl Scout trip. We need to get most of our stuff to one of the troop leaders by about 3:00 on Thursday, and the best time for us to deliver it is Wednesday evening. Any other time, and I'll have to make several trips to carry it all over there. I'd rather not do that.

I need to check the Google doc for the equipment that's needed on the trip and see if we can provide any of it. That document should also tell me what I need to pack for me and Cordelia beyond the obvious (clothes, bedding). I think we're supposed to bring our own dishes and cutlery. I need to find a second flashlight. Scott insists we've got several and so won't buy one, but I can only find one. If Cordelia and I are in the same tent, that will work. If not, not.
