Last night's softball game ended in tie. Both teams played well. There were innings when both teams got out after out-- There was one inning when Cordelia's team got three solid hits in a row (starting with one from Cordelia) only to have each runner tagged out at first. The girls pitching actually managed some strike outs.

The temperature during the game was fairly pleasant, probably in the mid-70s. It started getting a little chilly by the time the game actually ended. The field was oriented north-south, and our team was on the east edge. That meant the setting sun was in our eyes. Scott set up our shade umbrellas which helped for a while, but eventually the sun got so low that the umbrellas couldn't block it.

After the game, we stopped at the Washtenaw Dairy for ice cream. The line was quite long, but it moved relatively quickly. A single scoop there is an impressive amount of ice cream. I can't imagine eating a double scoop, let alone a triple scoop. Cordelia didn't actually finish her ice cream. There was simply too much.

When we got home, Scott wanted to watch some TV, but I needed to crash. Those Netflx DVDs will have to wait. Softball games tend to wear me out even though all I do is sit there. I suspect it's the agoraphobia in action. I can't think what else it would be.

Cordelia slept in the living room again last night. We tried a different light for her nightlight. The first night, we left the study light on, and that kept Scott awake. Last night we tried the dim light over the kitchen sink. That wasn't ideal because Cordelia's sleeping with her feet toward the kitchen door, but Cordelia seems to have slept fine.

Some of Scott's difficulty sleeping probably comes from having a new machine-- After his latest sleep study, they decided to switch him from a c-pap to a bi-pap. We're not sure what the difference is exactly. The bi-pap looks a bit different, but it's still a machine that pumps air through a tube to alleviate sleep apnea. The old c-pap is apparently ours to keep. Scott's mother has expressed interest in it as it may be a better model than the one she currently uses.

The major difference between a CPAP and a Bi-PAP is that the Bi-PAP backs off on the exhale: Instead of continuous air pressure, you get bidirectional pressure, because it senses when the user exhales and provides less pressure to the mask.
