Jul. 18th, 2014 11:25 amI'm thinking I need to trim my Tumblr list. I can't keep up. It doesn't help that I'm only going there once every day or two. I miss a lot. I follow a lot of science and nature blogs. I won't miss most of those if I cut them. The nature pictures are pretty, but I barely even register them as they go by these days.
I've got approximately four weeks to learn more about Tumblr. This week, I did the posts for
metanews. Well, I did two of the three posts. I managed DW and LJ just fine, but I couldn't make Tumblr work for the life of me. Someone else had to do that.
I'm not sure how much of the problem was that I was trying to use Safari-- Tumblr kept telling me that my browser was outdated and that I ought to be using something else-- and how much was me simply not knowing what I was doing. I tried Tumblr's help function, but I didn't come up with anything really useful (I was kind of in a hurry, so I didn't dig too deep).
Only two people follow me on Tumblr, so I will apologize to them and experiment with posting (I know how to reblog, kind of, but I need to know how to post new content). I think they won't get too upset about a few test posts. Maybe I can even find interesting content to post.
