I'm feeling dissatisfied in general. It's probably hormonal. I get like this at a certain point in my cycle. I'd rather assume that it's that than think that there's anything really going wrong right now. I mean it's been business as usual around here, and that doesn't usually leave me feeling down. I'm fairly content with my life most of the time.

Right now, I want to talk to someone who's not Scott or Cordelia. Unfortunately, none of the folks I talk with online have been around for a while, and there's no prospect of having anybody visit until our next scheduled game session a week from Wednesday.

I should see if odosgirl is willing to come over for a chat. We talked about maybe doing that the last time we got together for lunch. I could also invite over the former school librarian and her kids. I've been thinking about doing that for a while, but Cordelia has been reluctant to deal with entertaining two younger kids when she could be playing with her neighborhood friends.

Of course, that doesn't help today. I'm not sure anything is going to help today.

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling down. If you ever want to chat, I can totally do that. We just got cell phones with unlimited talk and text, and if you want to IM, I think I have that somewhere, too. I know it's not the same as person-to-person talking, but I'm happy to do anything to help you feel better. :)

I wish I weren't on call. I can be available for text message, but I don't use IM any more and I'm slow to respond to email - and I'm generally slower when not on call.
