Animaniacs season 2 - At least, I think this is season 2. I didn't look closely at the sleeves or DVDs as Cordelia got them. I watched this with Cordelia. It's not my sort of thing because slapstick makes me cringe with embarrassment. I was interested to note that some of the segments weren't exactly funny even for those who like that style of humor. I do wonder what Brain would do if ever he succeeded in taking over the world. Somebody's probably written fic to that effect.

Burn Notice season 6 - Scott commented at one point that it seemed like they were burning down the show. I'm curious as to how season 7 will recover from the events of season 6. They uprooted everybody, and there was a very real feeling that they might kill anyone (except Michael) at any time. I did start to feel, by the end of the season, that things keeping them in Miami were a bit contrived.

Fringe season 1 DVD 1 - I think this is like the X-Files, something where I might enjoy the story arc but can't tolerate individual episodes. I have a low tolerance for horror and generally gross stuff, so... Not really for me.

Lego Movie - "Everything Is Awesome" is definitely catchy. I didn't get earwormed this time the way I did when Scott and Cordelia came home from seeing this in the theater. I had a lot of fun watching this, but I'm not sure the layers of the story worked for me. I can't say that they didn't exactly. I basically ended up unsure what I thought. Still mostly fun.

Star Wars: the Clone Wars season 1-3 - Cordelia and I have been watching this sporadically, pretty much at her whim. She'll forget about it for a couple of weeks and then watch ten episodes in a row. I like Ahsoka quite a bit. She's more interesting than Anakin, at any rate. I'm still disturbed by how the show treats droids. It's like they can't make up their minds whether droids are just machines or whether they're individuals, characters we should care about. They can't have it both ways, but they certainly try to.

Teen Wolf season 1 DVD 2-3 - Well, now I've seen the start of Teen Wolf. I've been warned that later seasons aren't great about continuity and that there's a tendency to kill off female characters. We enjoyed this well enough to put season 2 into our Netflix queue but not enough to move it up to the top of our queue. We'll finish Burn Notice and Leverage at least before we go on with this. I did come to the conclusion that the main character is more than a little stupid. He fails to ask questions or to take precautions that seem basic to me.

Fringe is definitely not for everyone and may well just not be your thing, and this is absolutely not meant to be pushy, but I want to note that swaths of the first season aren't representative. (And I know of a guide to which episodes are actually essential to get to where the show really takes off, if that would be of interest.)

In particular, when I saw the pilot initially I was squicked and rolled my eyes at it and didn't give the show another shot for a few years, and when I came back to it, I discovered that the second episode is one of my least-favorite episodes of TV ever.

The show never completely gets away from periodic grossness, but for the most part the levels go way down pretty quickly, especially as they hit the point where the network stopped trying to run the show for them and let them tell the actual story they were there for.
