Scott and I watched a lot of TV yesterday. We started with Saturday's episode of Mythbusters. I miss the build team, but the show is still fun. I wouldn't miss it if I didn't see it, but I enjoy it when we watch it. Later on, we watched three episodes of Leverage while Cordelia was watching movies in her room. In the evening, we watched both episodes of The Librarians. Cordelia watched the first one with us and says she wants to watch the second one, the one that aired after her bedtime. I don't know if the show will continue, but we've enjoyed it.

We made our usual trip to the library. I thought I had a book waiting for me, but it turned out to be the book on CD which isn't nearly as convenient. I don't really have time to set aside for listening to a book (and if I did, I'd listen to the four books I've already got on my iPod first). Cordelia ended up seriously displeased with me because I dragged her upstairs to the teen section and forced her to pick out a book. She whined about it and insisted that all the books were bad and boring and that everything that looked interesting was part of a series and that the first book was never on the shelf. I suggested that she make a list of series that looked interesting and put holds on the first books, but she refused to do that. She ended up with a book by an author she likes, so maybe she'll actually read it. Who knows?

We got bubble tea. Well, Cordelia and I did. Scott didn't want any.

Dinner finished off our leftover chicken. We chopped it up and put it on salads. Scott made a run to the grocery store to pick up about a dozen different things that we'd forgotten for Saturday's shopping trip. He got a tube of biscuits, so we had those, too. I'll have to cook tonight if we don't go to Olga's for the PTO fundraiser. We have ground turkey thawed, and I'm thinking meatloaf.

Cordelia's friends are here. The three of them are playing Mario Kart 8. It's pretty noisy. I only got about five hours of sleep last night, so I'm wishing for quiet enough to nap. The kids will likely entertain themselves until lunchtime. Our guests' mother sent chicken patties, buns, and strawberries for lunch, so I won't have to do anything but heat the chicken patties and clean the strawberries.
