I've made lunch for the kids. It's sitting on the counter, getting cold, because they're too busy playing to be willing to come and eat. I'm not going to force them, but I'm also not going to heat the chicken patties up again.

I'm a little annoyed with myself-- On HabitRPG, I forgot to check off two of my dailies yesterday. I did the chores involved; I just forgot about HabitRPG. On the bright side, my adventuring party isn't fighting anything right now, so I'm the only one who took damage.

Seven people have voted on my what to write poll, six on the actual poll and one by comment on LJ. It looks like the further adventures of Polly and Digory is winning. I'm still taking votes for a couple of more days as I can't write today with the kids here and will be busy with [community profile] metanews for a good chunk of tomorrow.

I've been wandering around LJ and DW, adding people who look interesting. Just in case any of those people have come around here to see who I am, here's an entry I wrote about who I am back in November. I tried to make that a sticky post on DW, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I guess I'll just have to link back to it occasionally. What with me posting every day, things like that get buried fast.

to sticky a dw post!

Go to the DW home page, or other page that shows the drop-down for Create Organize Read etc. Under "Organize", click "Manage Account". Click "Display". Scroll down to "ID or URL of entry to make sticky" Paste in either 'http://the-rck.dreamwidth.org/387444.html' or '387444'. Et voila.

Not exactly. You can date an entry 2100 and it'll always be the first on your journal (bar the stickypost and anything dated 2101), though.
