It's my mother's birthday today, also her and my step-father's wedding anniversary. They've been married for thirty seven years, I think. I will have to remember to call tonight to wish them a happy day. I probably won't get them because they usually go out for occasions like this, but I can at least leave a message.

Scott came home on time yesterday which was nice. It meant that we could have people over to talk about the FATE game.

booniverse and her husband came over, and we talked for a couple of hours. I had to quash one idea Scott had gotten into his head about my character, but mostly I didn't say much.

Scott plans to run some vignettes for us, just using aspects, so that we can get a feel for how aspects work and for how our characters interact. Two of our players won't be present for the game session next week, though, so I'm not sure we'll go forward with the FATE game then.

I did a fair amount of writing yesterday, probably about a thousand words. I don't know that any of it will ever see the light of day because I'm not sure that it works (it's fairly id-tastic, and that's always hard to judge) and because it's for a fandom for which I don't have a good sounding board. I'm more than a little afraid that I'm mangling the characters and that it goes on to long.

I probably won't write today. I seldom do on Thursdays. I've got the school library today, and I need to do a good bit of work for
