Jan. 29th, 2015 12:29 pmIt's harder to get myself moving Thursday mornings than it used to be. I'm getting used to lazing in bed while Cordelia gets herself ready for school, and Thursdays, when I have to be out the door ten minutes after she does, are hard. I keep getting distracted and realizing at the last minute that I've forgotten to eat or forgotten to allow enough extra time to put on my winter gear. Fortunately, it's not a big deal if I'm ten minutes or so late arriving at the school. There isn't a class in the library immediately, and the first class in doesn't return or check out books and so doesn't require me to do anything.
This morning, I did a lot of shelf reading. There were a lot of books out of place, so that wasn't a bad thing, but it was indicative of there not being anything else to do. I think the shelving took about fifteen minutes, total. During the last forty five minutes or so that I was there, the librarian had me working on books to be added to the collection. I had to sort out which ones already had bar codes and pockets and which ones didn't. Then I put bar codes and book pockets on some of those books without. I also property stamped a lot of books.
Last night, Scott worked until about 5:00. None of us were particularly pleased by that. I wasn't sure how we were going to fit in dinner before people arrived for gaming. Fortunately for getting dinner, the session ended up canceled. Two players are overseas. One player was sick. Another had a sick wife and baby. The last had a meeting to attend (He's coaching To Infinity and Beyond in this year's Science Olympiad. Scott had some suggestions for him, having coached that last year).
I did manage to do my link finding (a day late) and to make banana bread (we ate half a loaf with dinner). I didn't do Sit and Be Fit. I'm having a really hard time getting myself to buckle down and simply do it. I used to be really regular about it; no matter what I was doing, when 2:30 rolled around, I turned on the TV and did the program. Now, not so much.
