Burn Notice season 7 DVD 1-3 - I almost don't want to watch the rest of this. I've heard that the ending isn't great, and I can see how that might be. The third DVD ended with a cliffhanger of sorts that annoyed me because I didn't see any way to resolve it while keeping the main character in character. He seems to have two options, and both seem out of character. I have no confidence in the show finding an alternative that I haven't thought of that makes it all work.

The Grand Budapest Hotel - My sister recommended this. Our tastes don't often match, but I thought I'd give it a try since she thought it was brilliant. Scott and I watched about half an hour of it then gave up. We didn't find it funny or engaging. The characters didn't appeal to us. This was simply not our sort of movie. I think I'm glad I was watching it with Scott. Had I been on my own, I might have soldiered through, hating it the whole time.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 - The whole time I was watching this, I kept wondering what on earth all of those dragons eat. They seem to be carnivores, large ones, and those are hard to support in large numbers. That aside, I enjoyed this movie. The dragons were still a lot of fun to watch. I wasn't entirely pleased with the villain, and his army seemed to vanish rather abruptly when it became plot inconvenient for it to exist.

Mr Peabody and Sherman - I moved this up our Netflix queue because Cordelia kept asking about it and seemed eager to see it again. When it arrived, however, she wasn't so interested after all. I hadn't seen it though, so Scott and I put it in. It was cute. I didn't expect it to be deep, and it wasn't.

Rurouni Kenshin - This is the live action movie. I felt like there was too much packed in here. I enjoyed the movie, but I think that it assumed familiarity with the manga and that some characters wouldn't make sense without that additional context. The movie simply didn't have the space to make all the connections work.
