I wrote a couple of paragraphs yesterday. I'm having a hard time finding my way into this chapter. I'm going to persevere and see where it goes. I am determined not to even open my solitaire game today (and not just because it keeps me from writing-- I'm starting to get pain from the repetitive motions of playing).

Scott had his eye exam at 8:00 yesterday morning. After it was done, he went to a research place on north campus. They're paying him a little bit to have a recorder in the car, and they needed to download the last few months worth of data. That particular project is aimed toward producing self driving cars, something that Scott and I would really like to see because it would give me a lot more mobility.

Scott spent the morning, after he got back, searching for his new ATM card because his old one has expired altogether. He got the card weeks ago, but he put it aside because he didn't have time for it just then. Now, it's gone. We had to go to the bank and ask them to send a replacement. That was relatively painless, but it was one more thing that we had to do.

We went to Cafe Marie for lunch at about 1:30. We hadn't meant to leave it so late. We were aiming for 1:00. We just got distracted. I had a burger and sweet potato fries. Scott had a cherry chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. There wasn't much parking when we arrived, so we were surprised that Cafe Marie wasn't even half full.

We got home from lunch and the bank only about fifteen minutes before Cordelia was due home. I was a little concerned that we wouldn't get home before she did. Scott was more relaxed about it. He said that she's smart enough to go around to the back and use the key pad to get into the house that way and to call us on her phone to find out where we are. I just thought it might freak her out a bit-- I've never not been home when she gets off of school.

Scott finally got around to sewing buttons on his work pants. He's been losing those and not replacing them for about a year now, but losing the button on his last pair of work pants made him decide to remedy the situation. He's not sure that he put the buttons in the right places or in quite the right way, but he did at least four pairs of pants (it might have been more. I'm not sure if he went back to it after dinner).

I would like to see self driving cars, also, just because I am such a paranoid driver.
