I didn't do much at all yesterday. Mostly, I babied my foot/ankle. I'm a bit concerned because more bruises have appeared on my foot, near my toes. They definitely weren't there yesterday. Wrapping things this morning showed me that I definitely do better with the Ace bandage on. I feel the bandage constantly, but it's much, much easier to walk to the bathroom or the kitchen with the bandage on. I think I know why propping up my leg hurt so much more than sitting normally-- There are bruises all over my heel so that putting pressure on certain parts of it is quite painful, and propping up the leg hits one of the nasty bits with the full weight of my leg.

It's very definitely my foot that hurts more than my ankle. The ankle isn't right and is a bit swollen on one side, but the foot is what hurts when I walk.

I did do the [community profile] metanews post yesterday. I got that much accomplished. It was long enough that I was worried I'd run up against LJ's length limits and have to do a lot of fiddling around to split the post in half (the tags would have been a lot of work). Fortunately, LJ and DW both took the entire post as one entry.

I hope to do some writing today. I think I'm going to skip ahead to the scenes I know have to go in this chapter and come back to finish the bit I'm stuck on later.

I've also got a library DVD to watch. If I'm going to watch that, I need to do it today. I don't know how much of it I'll watch, though. It's a PBS thing that runs six hours and is pretty much exactly like the book that shares its title. It's non-fiction, so seeing it, as opposed to reading it, isn't really that big a draw.

I really want to go into the basement for some books to reread, but I'm going to be sensible and not stress my foot and ankle that way. I've got plenty of books up here. There's probably something in the bedroom or in the dining room that has the same level of escapist ease.

Cordelia's school has another expo coming up. This one is on a Tuesday and starts at 5:00. That's early for us. Scott may not be able to attend the first part. It'll depend on when he gets home and how long he takes to shower. We don't know yet when Cordelia's group's presentation will be. Hopefully, by then, my foot is better up to me standing for two hours.

On the 27th, the sixth grade is doing another bowling outing. This time, Cordelia's best friend is going. We're to provide her with transportation. Cordelia was iffy about going until she found out that, if she went, her friend was going, too.

I got my annual are-you-still-disabled paperwork in the mail yesterday. I need to get it downtown to my psychiatrist as soon as I can. This not being able to walk thing (not to mention the not being sure I can put on shoes thing) really puts a crimp in an expedition like that. Scott does have Monday scheduled off so that he can go to two doctor's appointments, so maybe he can deliver the paperwork then or at least give me a ride to do it.
