Mar. 21st, 2015 05:53 pmI have found one other drawback to the boot. It's not a huge problem since the fracture is in my heel, but it would be a problem for something further forward. Basically, I can't keep myself from fidgeting my toes and raising the arch of my foot to push against the boot. It's not comfortable, and I'd be a lot better off if I managed to stop, but I keep finding myself doing it every time my attention wanders. I don't feel any need to do this when I'm wearing my everyday shoes (I'm not doing it with my left foot which is in an ordinary shoe), so this is purely a reaction to the boot.

Date: 2015-03-22 01:00 am (UTC)I did notice this evening that I failed to tighten the boot properly. I'll do better tomorrow as it seems to make a real difference in terms of how much pain I have.

Date: 2015-03-22 01:17 am (UTC)Oh, it took me a couple weeks to figure out how to tighten the boot properly. I didn't have a fracture, but anyway, there is definitely a learning curve to it!
