Going to the library was interesting. It's harder to walk in this boot than I realized from just walking in the house. I think that most of it is that I keep trying to bend at the ankle and can't. The boot does press into my upper calf as I walk in a way that hurts. I think I'd have real difficulty getting to the bus stop while wearing this thing, so I think there are a lot of cabs in my immediate future.

There were four or five books, six or seven CDs, and a DVD waiting for me at the library. Cordelia checked out a couple of books from the teen section. Scott stayed outside while we were inside because he wanted to do something or another with Ingress. The portals down near the library are often unclaimed when we go there. I don't think Scott gets to keep them long, though.

When we stopped for bubble tea, Scott parked in the structure around the corner and then realized that that meant a longish (by my current standards) walk for me. He got me and Cordelia to Bubble Island and then went and got the car. He orbited the block while Cordelia and I got bubble tea. Naturally, some idiot decided to double park along that bit of South University just then. That made getting through more challenging by a considerable bit.

We hit the Wendy's drive-thru for lunch. I had a burger and fries. Scott had a baked potato. Cordelia had a small frosty (she'd eaten quite a lot at the Girl Scouts meeting apparently and wasn't hungry). Scott wanted a salad, but he wanted to know more about what was on it than was available from the drive-thru menu, so he didn't get one.

I'm still getting new bruises on my foot and ankle. Pretty much the whole thing is looking bruised now. On the bright side, the new bruising is light brown instead of purple. I have to call managed care today to see about getting that specialist appointment scheduled. I'm putting off the call in hopes that they'll take care of it without me prompting them. The referral went through at 5:30 on Friday, so this morning is the first they'll have seen of it.

Scott is at home today. He had an appointment with the Sleep Disorders Clinic at 8:00, and he's got another appointment of some sort at UHS at 3:45. Right now, he's out getting his hair cut. He's very frustrated because somewhere on the way to his appointment, he lost the memory chip from his bi-PAP. It's just gone completely. He retraced his steps and didn't find it.

Scott didn't get to the taxes yesterday. He played Kerbal Space Program and some sort of online game with his brother instead. He's been complaining about how utterly awful yesterday and today have been. I think yesterday being awful comes down to the hot pad in the oven and to him burning the quinoa he was trying to prepare for dinner.

Cordelia has announced that she won't eat pork at all. About all we can get her to eat in the way of protein is fish and yogurt. Well, she'll eat chicken under protest. I wish I could get her to eat beans or nuts or tofu or eggs or something. Left on her own, she'd eat nothing but cereal (Rice Crispies at present but other things in the past), yogurt, and bread.

Oh, lovely. I have a library CD in my laptop. It crashed iTunes because it's too scratched to play, and now I can't get my laptop (or iTunes) to acknowledge that the CD is there. I can still get it out, fortunately, but my attempts to do so properly have been frustrated. I wish iTunes didn't crash so easily when faced with a scratched CD.
