the_rckWednesday was Scott's Babylon 5 game. The session was rather dull from my point of view as a good portion of it centered on the other characters having a meeting to hash out certain business/procedural stuff (including whether or not my character would be allowed to travel with them). It had to be done, but it wasn't very interesting to watch.
Thursday was Scott's birthday. He took the day off from work. He had a pretty relaxed day-- He played some Wii. He and Delia went out to a couple of bookstores (while the cleaning lady was here. I stayed home so that I could pay her). In the evening, we went to Joe's Crab Shack. I was hesitant to do so because Scott had an allergic reaction the last time we went there, but he wanted to go. He didn't have a reaction this time.
Delia tried to extract crab meat herself this time. She still doesn't have the strength or dexterity for it, so we ended up doing it for her, but at least she tried. We did get her to peel her own shrimp.
Friday, Delia and I weeded her books. I want to bring up some of the books I've had in storage, and that requires shelf space. Delia gave up fewer books than I'd have liked, but it came out to two good sized boxes worth. Now I have to consolidate what's still on the shelves and figure out what I'm bringing up from the basement (something tells me that the hardcover classics that I never read won't be read by Delia either. Maybe I should get rid of them. Maybe not).
Saturday, Delia went to a birthday party. While she was there, Scott and I went to Whole Foods and to the Arborland Borders. The Arborland Borders is closing, so everything is 20% off. We ended up buying several books. The line took just a little bit longer than we'd hoped, so I had to call the family having the party to tell them that we'd be about ten minutes late picking up Delia.
Sunday, Scott and Delia attempted sledding, but the snow was too wet for that to work well. Everything's slowly melting. I'm glad of that, but it makes for poor sledding. Delia ended up going down the street to play with a neighbor boy. It used to be that she'd play with him most days, but suddenly, about six months ago, she stopped wanting to play with him. We still have no idea why or why she's now abruptly eager to play with him again.
