the_rckI've got 1900 words on my Weiss Day fic so far. I think I've got two scenes left to write. I'm really glad I asked to write gen. I don't think I could have worked on anything else while Delia was around last week (and possibly not at other times, either).
Writing in general has been difficult in recent months. I look at "Rheotaxis" and wonder if I'll finish it because it requires sex. I just don't feel like I can write that now, and I'm not at all sure the story will work if I suddenly start fading to black or writing only the parts that don't involve sex. It's a story about sexual violence and what that violence does to people.
I started writing a New Year's Resolution fic. I'll go back to it after the Weiss Day fic is done and hopefully will get somewhere with it. I picked the prompt by making a list of all the prompts I thought I could do and would enjoy and then having a friend pick a number. The whole business ended up complicated by the fact that my copy of the book is missing. It was last seen in Delia's room but isn't there now unless it's behind or under a piece of furniture. I've got a copy from the library to help me with names and spelling and such.
