I didn't end up doing any Remix work yesterday. I just dinked around doing other things instead after my link finding was done. I have decided that, given that there are so many fics to choose from, I'll have to take notes on what I read. Otherwise, I won't remember anything about the stories after I've got through them all.

Scott didn't get home until around 5:00 yesterday. From what he says, a temp made a mistake that required a lot of extra work, and there was a problem with not having a truck to load that was supposed to be there. At least he wasn't feeling as awful yesterday as he did Sunday and Monday.

We had pre-emptively canceled Scott's FATE game which should have met last night. Scott might actually have been able to run, but I'm not sure about that. It seems wiser not to test that.

We did end up going downtown to the library around 8:30. Cordelia had two holds to pick up, and I had one. The downtown library will close Friday and not reopen for at least ten days, possibly longer. They're not sure how long the work to be done will actually take. Our holds would have been moved to another library branch where we could have picked them up, and the hold period had been extended past when they expect the downtown library to re-open, but I thought that picking up the holds while we could was wisest.

After the library, we stopped for bubble tea (no dropping anything this time!). Scott orbited the block while Cordelia and I went inside. He actually drove by right as we got to the curb for him to pick us up, but he didn't see us, just drove right past. There wasn't anywhere to park around there, or we'd have gotten cookies from the place across the street. Instead, Scott detoured to go by Zingerman's on the way home and got cookies there.

Scott washed his uniforms last night but forgot to put them in the dryer. Fortunately, about 1 a.m., I needed to get up for something, and it occurred to me that I hadn't heard the dryer running at all, so I went downstairs (this was challenging but actually hurt my supposedly good ankle a lot more than my bad one) and transferred his clothes over. He'd have been in real trouble if everything was still wet when he got up.

I'm actually considering making an appointment with my doctor about my left ankle, the one I didn't injure. It's been wobbling and hurting for days now. I haven't turned it or anything, so there's nothing I can point to and say that that's what went wrong. My guess is that I've been asking more of it for the last two and a half months than it's quite ready to handle.

Scott and I have three DVDs to watch, but somehow, we never end up putting any of them in. Well, actually, Scott and I have two DVDs to watch, and I have one that Scott wouldn't mind seeing but won't care if he misses. It's just that that last one is subtitled and requires more attention than I can afford to give it just now.

And the hold I had at the library, the one we picked up last night, was a movie that I thought the whole family might enjoy. Unfortunately, Cordelia has already, without much information, pronounced the movie 'stupid' and plans to skip watching it. That may, of course, be more a function of not wanting to watch anything with her parents than of not really wanting to see the movie.

Okay, time to start taking notes on stories...
