the_rckI've started writing my Remix fic. I'm still tempted by two other stories than the one I've started, but I'm going to give this one a couple of days to see if I can make it work. This story and one of the other possibilities are challenging. I think I can make strong stories from them. The third possibility would be straightforward but wouldn't, I suspect, produce a dreadfully strong or original story as I'd be expanding rather than re-imagining.
I've also been fiddling with a Weiss fic that's kind of for dormouse_in_tea and that may never end up posted anywhere. I'm simply playing with the sorts of story developments and she and I will find most amusing rather than trying to build a strong story.
I'm considering setting up a backup fic archive on DreamWidth. I haven't decided yet because I don't really want to face the formatting that I'd have to do. If I didn't have to do formatting, I'd probably set up the account now. Needing to do formatting means waiting until after I finish my Remix fic to decide.
Or are there a lot of people who would prefer reading my fics on DreamWidth rather than on my website? Hardware issues and personal control issues aside, I don't see much difference from a reader's point of view, but I might be missing something.
